The National Tennis Centre is planned as a flagship, ATP / WTA / ITF-grade tennis complex in Kiambu County. It is conceived as a campus of five venue types plus a permanent athlete-development institution: a 15,000-seat Centre Court and an 8,000-seat multi-purpose Court 3 Arena, both with retractable roofs, two further show courts of 5,000 and 2,000 seats, and 28 hard courts and 2 clay courts for matches and practice. A High-Performance Training Centre will provide strength and conditioning, hydrotherapy and physiotherapy, recovery, athlete welfare and media facilities for national and regional athletes. The complex is intended to work on three rhythms: daily training, domestic competition and community use, and international championship and entertainment events. The project is at concept and pre-feasibility stage; designs, drawings and costs will be confirmed through surveys, approvals and detailed design.
